Whitebred Shorthorn Open Day 2016

The first venue Mr and Mrs Anthony Dowling at Kinnell House demonstrated the advantages of using Whitebred Shorthorn bulls on Welsh Black cows. The buyer for both heifers and bullocks attended to discuss the performance given from the Welsh Black cross.

Moving up the glen, on the neighbouring Estate, there is Welsh Black cross heifers running with a Limousin bull, showing the selection of other breeds the Whitebred Shorthorn can sire to produce the next generation of crossing cows.

Gavin Hill from SRUC kindly attended the open day for discussions and information.
