A pleasing total of 17 animals were forward for the Autumn sale of Whitebred Shorthorns, and a further 11 animals for the dispersal sale from Messers Robinson, Ottercops.

​

1st prize bull and overall Champion

Blackburn Topgun sired by Ryburn River Orion Rocky out of Blackburn Milkyway, bred and produced by G. Jackson, Blackburn, Newcastleton.  He sold for 2500gns and was purchased by Messers Elliot, Sheffield.

​

1st prize female and Reserve champion

Spring view Kitty sired bySpring View George William out of Spring View Tabitha, this homebred in calf heifer was bred by C. Jeffery, Spring View farm, York. The successful bidder was Messers McAllister, from Newton Stewart who bid 1850gns for her.

​

There was a lot of interest in the Ottercops dispersal sale, the top price was the in calf cow Ottercops Snowdrops 4th with her heifer calf Ottercops Snowdrop 6th at foot, who was bought by Netherby Hall Ltd, Longtown for 3500gns.
